The Mission
The Marine Corps League Department of Michigan Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization established in 2007, is dedicated to supporting Michigan veterans, their families, and descendants through various programs, scholarships, and services. As a subsidiary of the Department of Michigan Marine Corps League - which comprises honorably discharged Marines and U.S. Navy Corpsmen and Chaplains who served with Fleet Marine Forces - we uphold a legacy of service and commitment. Established in 1937 by an act of Congress, the Marine Corps League continues to promote the interests and traditions of the United States Marine Corps. Your support enables us to provide essential assistance to those who have served our nation.
Why We Exist
Veterans’ needs go beyond parades and reunions - they need help with everything from job coaching to mental health resources and family scholarships. Local detachments often run food drives or holiday toy collections, but our Foundation tackles larger, long-term goals. By managing donations, endowments, and emergency relief funds, we guarantee that your gift goes straight to impactful, service-focused programs.
Our volunteer Board of Trustees, made up of League officers, community leaders, and subject-matter experts, oversees scholarship awards, compliance, and strategy. We partner with local detachments to pinpoint on-the-ground needs, and maintain transparent accounting.
